When I most need to return to my mindful, spiritual, or reflective practices is exactly when I forget they exist. Like self-development amnesia or spiritual practice resistance. Did I just invent a new syndrome to stress over? Welcome to my brain. 🤣 I’m kidding.
Seriously though, if you've fallen out of a practice or habit that you know nourishes you—especially in difficult times—give yourself some grace. It happens for many reasons.
Maybe life responsibilities have piled up, leaving you exhausted and overwhelmed, making your practice feel like just “one more thing” on the to-do list.
Maybe you’ve been feeling uninspired or disconnected from the deeper meaning of why you started in the first place.
Or maybe, like me, you think you need a bigger stretch of time to do it, and since you can’t seem to make it, you put it off altogether.
Since reflective practices bring us into stillness and deep emotional processing, you might also be unconsciously avoiding them—because they might bring up grief, fear, or uncertainty.
For years, I’ve tied ritual and reflection to the moon phases, equinoxes, and solstices because nature provides a built-in reminder to pause. Even if it's just 10 minutes of journaling or a quick Oracle card pull, it helps me return to myself.
🌑 Today is the New Moon in Pisces—the last new moon of winter. Like all new moons, this is a potent time to plant seeds of intention, but this one, in particular, invites us to return to dreaming and visualization. It’s an opportunity for spiritual renewal, emotional healing, and intuitive goal-setting.
Pisces embodies the archetypes of the dreamer, mystic, healer, and artist. As a water sign, it craves flow, relaxation, ease, and connection to spirit.
🌊 Pisces also asks us to examine its shadow:
💫 Over the next day or so, take a few minutes to reflect. Whether journaling or pulling an oracle card, choose only the questions that resonate or fit the time you have:
What new intentions or dreams am I being called to plant for spring?
Whatever comes up, trust it. Pisces teaches us that intuition is like water—it moves where it needs to go.
Wishing you a gentle and inspired new moon. ✨
