I’ve made this recipe a few times and find it addicting. It's perfect for lunch or a summer dinner. I got recipe inspiration from @healthyeatgram and Sara Tercero.
Every morning, Phil Cooklin sends me an inspirational, vibe-raising, loving reminder of my power and the wonder of life in what feels like a personal WhatsApp voice message. Phil is a fellow IP Trainer who has worked with me on the crew for seven virtual conferences. During the conferences, he would leave me a message in the morning to let me know how things were going. His voice, energy, and phrasing immediately made me feel more grounded, hopeful and loved. I wished all days had started like that. Matt would hear me playing the messages and told him the same thing. Eventually, we both got our wish and PHIL MY CUP was created.
I love getting these voice messages each morning. They really do make a difference. You can try a two-week trial to see how these messages affect your mindset and mood. Go listen to the sample messages on the home page, and you’ll understand my love for this daily ritual.
I am a massive fan of the Swedish author Fredrik Backman. If you’ve never read anything by him, I’d start with My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry.
Matt and I are still discussing the books of the Beartown Trilogy. We talk about the characters of Beartown as if they are real people, and we miss them. Seriously.
Backman writes quirky, flawed human characters that you fall in love with because he illustrates the beauty and struggle of being human. He reminds us that none of us has it all together; we all go through pain and the healing power of compassion and community.
His books will make you teary but also make you laugh out loud.
When I found his Instagram account, I was so excited to see his perspective and deprecating humor in little bites regularly.
If you are on Instagram- follow him. @backmansk
As a coach, I often witness and understand the intricacies of my clients' work. And I LOVE what Karen Paritee has created. Sorted is a radical yet realistic anti-program for relentlessly determined women who want to get what they want without giving up what they want. Sorted leverages your very good reasons for your “bad” habits so you can be the person you wish you could be—without self-coercion or deprivation.
If you are struggling with habits you wish to change and have tried everything except changing yourself to change them, try getting Sorted. What I love is that you can do a complementary Sorted Info Session where she gives you a valuable experience of the program and an overview of the methodology so you’ll know if it’s right for you. I find it unique, inspiring, and revolutionary, and that's worth checking out. Plus, you’ll love Karen! If you want to know more, I urge you to go here.
Flavor God seasonings have been part of my cabinet for over a decade. No, not the same bottles. 🤣 I mean, I’ve been a loyal customer of Flavor God for that long. I use them every day and also give them as gifts.
What I like is that they are preservative and filler-free with readable ingredients. Are you a fan too?
My personal favorites:
Garlic Lovers, Lemon & Garlic Seasoning, Italian Zest, Jamaican Jerk, Ranch, Taco Tuesday, Chocolate Donut + Pumpkin Pie Toppers to sprinkle on coffee, and many Seasonal Limited Edition Seasonings. Matt likes all the spicy ones!
I buy using $2 Tuesdays, reward points, and seasonal sales. I don’t know if there will be one next week for the 4th of July- but there might be. If you want to try them out, I have a referral link, which gives you a $5 coupon. I'll get one too.
